I just had five-packs of postcards printed, featuring detail images of my paintings. Every pack includes each of the cards shown above. The back is blank, so they can be mailed. There is small text in the corner with my name and contact information.
I’ll have the cards at the fairs, and you can also find them in my esty shop for $10 a pack (free shipping).
I was thrilled to receive an honorable mention from the Art Post Gallery at tonight’s reception! This was my entry – similar to a painting of red currants I enjoyed painting last summer. The theme of the show (Botany Magnified) reminded me of the way the berries were reflected and distorted in the spoon. The entries were beautiful and showed wide variety in subject and technique. It was fun to be a part of the contest, and fun to see so many fellow Glenview Art League members participating.
The collection of 6 by 6 inch paintings will be on display (and for sale) at the gallery through May 5. Here is a link to an article about the show in the Northbrook Patch by Stan Golovchuk.
We had perfect weather for the 59th Annual Glenview Art League Summer Art Fair this weekend. I survived the set up, connected with many interesting people, and had a great time. I was thrilled to accept an award for excellence! Special thanks to Lyzart Gallery, for sponsoring a purchase award for Lyrid Meteors – be sure to check out their beautiful shop. The Art League is a wonderful source of advice, motivation and community, and they put together a wonderful event.
Another view of Pickerel Lake, in the early evening.
This week was “changeover week” for the Glenview Art League exhibiting members. We put up a Member Exhibition at the Book Market, and it looks amazing! I have two paintings included: Self Portrait with Holly and Summer Triangle of Stars. I was happy to design the postcards and posters for the show. Picture Us Galleries is kindly displaying four other paintings: Common Boneset, Woody Nightshade, Nearly Empty Spot and Girl with Red Tulip.
