I had so much fun at the Glenview Art League Summer Art Fair last weekend! Thanks to everyone who stopped by my booth, I saw many friends, met interesting people, had great conversations, and some paintings found new homes :).
Next up: Art in the Garden here in Glenview on August 19 and 20. I had so much fun at this show last year! I hope you can come. I’ll be bring this small painting of our backyard nasturtiums, along with many other small, medium and large pieces. Here are the artists who’ll be at this wonderful “Grassroots Art Fair.”

Busy painting, not so much posting! Here are a few shows I’ll be participating in soon. First up: Art in the Garden! I’ll be joining 6 amazing artists from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on September 10 and 11, at 1205 Hutchings Ave, Glenview, IL. Please come!
Next, I have a portrait of my beautiful Mom in Tim Lowly’s “La Mère/La Mer (The Mother/The Sea)” exhibition in the Moreau Art Galleries of St. Mary’s College in South Bend, Illinois starting tomorrow. At the reception on September 15 I’ll be participating in a panel discussion. I helped install the artwork this past weekend and it is wonderful!
Also coming up next week, I’ll have work in North Park University’s Alumni Triennial 2016. I’ll post more details about that soon.
We had perfect weather for the 59th Annual Glenview Art League Summer Art Fair this weekend. I survived the set up, connected with many interesting people, and had a great time. I was thrilled to accept an award for excellence! Special thanks to Lyzart Gallery, for sponsoring a purchase award for Lyrid Meteors – be sure to check out their beautiful shop. The Art League is a wonderful source of advice, motivation and community, and they put together a wonderful event.
