Plein air: Kim’s Chop Suey
The day after making the Grove Pond painting I spend a fine hour or two on this street scene, looking north across Glenview Road near the Glenview Grind, where I got lunch afterwards. Rain was forecast, but it held off until I packed up. Right to left, this is Kim’s Chop Suey, Van’s Nails and a bit of Twisted Tree Consignment. I was trying to remember some of what I’ve learned from James Gurney’s excellent and entertaining book and blog.
Keep in mind, I’ll be at the Prairie Arts Festival on May 27 and 28 from 10 to 5 each day.
