Oil Painting of an Apple

The girls and I went apple picking at Edwards Orchard this weekend. We did our best to pick them by the stems, but a few twigs broke off, and they make for fun painting. The proper picking technique, according to pickyourown.org: roll the apple upwards off the branch and give a little twist; don’t pull straight away from the tree. Red Delicious, Golden Delicious and Autumn Beauty were the available varieties, and these Goldens were our favorite by far. Click on the painting to see it in my etsy shop.
