Oil Painting of Watermelon with Salt

Posted on

6 by 6 inches, oil on hardboard

Watermelon with a sprinkle of salt – so good. This is my entry for the Daily Paintworks “Reflections” challenge. I set it up so the watermelon would reflect in the knife and the salt shaker. As I went along I noticed reflections in the wax paper and on the table, too. I plan to get this favorite knife sharpened up at the farmers market tomorrow.
