Oil Painting of Red Tomatoes

Posted on

6 by 6 inches, oil on hardboard

These aren’t my homegrown tomatoes yet. The garden looks great, but now that the peas, lettuce, and strawberries are mostly done, we’re in a harvest lull. The one-color-one-stroke challenge was so good, I tried to repeat it for this painting, but I found myself cheating. Still fun, though.

See my paintings at Via Gelato in Glenview from now through September!
