6 by 6 inches, oil on gessoed hardboard

This is from a photo I took last spring. Before he passed away my grandpa gave us daffodils and trillium bulbs to plant in our garden. Along with the pure delight of seeing early flowers in the spring, they remind me of him and connect me to family. We took some with us to plant in our new garden when we moved last June. I had a wonderful time visiting many family members last week for Thanksgiving, including both of my wonderful grandmas.

This painting is being included in a silent auction on December 5 at the Covenant Church of Schaumburg.
