Oil Painting of Woody Nightshade

Posted on Updated on

oil on canvas, 16 by 20 inches

Long time no post. August flew away, as it so often does. And it took me that long to finish a larger painting. This one is 16 by 20 inches, and if felt like a billboard to me. I’m reading a book about the landscapes of Gustav Klimt, which are very beautiful. I tried to get some of his color and energetic texture into this painting — woody nightshade we found growing in the Grove.

Beautiful Deb. I can’t believe August is gone either. Got to get some more plein air in before the cold.
