A Painting of an Onion and Carrots

I tried out this week’s DPW Challenge today. The directions were to mix a color, make a single stroke with it, and then mix a new color for the next stroke. So every stroke in the painting has it’s own color mix. Very hard, but I’ll definitely try this again. It is a great antidote to the fussy smooshing I catch myself doing sometimes. Felt like putting together a jigsaw puzzle.

Holly loved and made short work of these carrots from Irv and Shelly’s Fresh Picks.

And I prodded the girls into painting with me today. Meredith made a heart using the DPW Challenge directions, and liked the mosaic effect. Holly followed no rules, and painted a flower sky.
